Be Strong ~ Sekhmet

My message for you today is this:
The Goddess, Sekhmet (pronounced SEK-met),who has stepped forward for you today is the Egyptian wife to the deity Ptah, and her name is defined as 'strong and mighty'.  She is a fierce guardian... a sun goddess, aligned with the element of fire, often depicted with lions, denoting her strength and ferocity when the need arises.  She is sometimes represented, pictorially, with the head of a lion and the body of a woman.
Sekhmet's message for you is that there is never any need for you to fall into the role of 'victim' in any situation.  To be self-empowered does not mean that you never experience the emotions of fear or self-doubt, but that you know you have the strength to go forward, rather than allowing these feelings to paralyze you.  There is a saying, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it."  She asks you to honour yourself and the strength that resides within you.  Do not dishonour yourself by placing blame on others, making excuses or complaining about various aspects of your life.  When you feel the urge to do these things, bless the feelings for the indicators of change that you need to make, but do not reside in those feelings because doing so will not move you forward in a positive way.
Where in your life have you allowed yourself to dwell in negativity that stymies you from moving forward for your greater good?  Where in your life have you been resistant in 'speaking your truth' or standing up for yourself?  Where in your life have you allowed your lack of confidence to hold you back from 'going for it' as you know that you are meant to?
No self-judgment here...ask yourself these questions from a place of love, knowing that to be AWARE is the first step to positive change. 'When we know better, we do better'.  Once you acknowledge for yourself where you could employ the strength you have within to carry you forward, know that you are supported in doing so.  You ARE strong, but remember that to be strong does not imply that you need to stand alone!  Call upon your guides and angels, and Sekhmet, to assist you in accessing your inner strength, as you reach for your highest potential.

After posting today's reading, my friend, 'Fiona from Arizona', shared this masterful saying with me, (not having yet read today's posting) and I just HAD to pass it on to you!  I LOVE how the Universe works!  Notice the lion image, which is affiliated with the Goddess Sekhmet, and the message aligns with her energy perfectly!  Standing in your own power and your own strength NEVER IMPLIES disempowering another...standing authentically in your own power encourages others to do the same!  We have synchronistically (there IS NO coincidence!) been given this timely reminder today!  This is validation that I am but the conduit for the messages you receive in your daily card readings here...I certainly had no way of 'knowing' which card would come forward for you today, prior to drawing it for you, and then to have Fiona send this adage which compliments today's message perfectly, well...I say 'Thanks', I say 'Amen'!
