"Aventurine has entered your cards today to signal you that a time of growth is at hand. My message for you today is this:
Crystal energy is a gift from Mother Earth to vibrationally support us in our lives here in the physical. Different crystals hold a particular vibration, and further to that, each individual crystal holds it's own unique calibration of that vibration. As we are also vibrational beings, we will each be drawn to certain crystals at certain times (energy is always in flux and flow). A perfect illustration of your message today, I believe!  It is about 'surrender', but know that 'surrender' does NOT imply inaction!  You take guided action toward your goals and dreams...you plant the seeds, and you cultivate and care for the seeds...with the understanding that just how and when these seeds will present is in the hands of a force that far surpasses our physical implications. My message for you today is this:
That was an INTENSE New Moon that we experienced this past Sunday!  As we all know, energy is not 'clap on/clap off', but is always in flow. And so, we remain in the lingering energies of that New Moon and are transitioning into the upcoming powerful eclipse season. I have taken no courses in astrology nor have I studied the cosmos (in truth, I am often lost attempting to find my way here on Earth! Haha!),  but I have ABSOLUTELY been extremely sensitive to prevailing 'energies' all of my life. I am grateful now, for those who share their understanding and knowledge about cosmic energies and how they impact our lives.  We can utilize these energies when we are consciously aware of them, in navigating our physical experience more effectively. For me, New Moon energy encourages new beginnings and setting intentions for that which we want to manifest in our lives. This energy feels like a 'quickening'.  This recent New Moon was urging us to step into the authentic expression of WHO we came here to be. It can be frustrating when you feel this motivation, of sorts, and yet you don't have clarity around how you are meant to SHINE...I feel that we have been pushed in the direction of finding that clarity during this 2017 year of 'courageous expression'.  And for those who may have reached that point of clarity, it doesn't mean that now the road ahead is without some bumps and detours! (My inspiration to strive to communicate in a new way for me, through video on Facebook, was fraught with speed bumps, yesterday!) The elevated view of these bumps and detours is that there are lessons within them that are SUPPORTING you in moving in the right direction. (I realized that it is far easier, for me to work with my Ipad and Iphone, rather than my Mac laptop to post videos on Facebook!) At these times, focus upon the LIGHT within you. Focus upon the knowing that only YOU can shine your Light because it is unique to you. Focus upon the understanding that even when the road gets a little bumpy, you are still traveling forward. The Light within you is ALWAYS there, even on the days when you feel less than radiant!  Quite honestly, there are days---even when we are living our lives 'on purpose' (consciously)---when we need to be DETERMINED to acknowledge our Light within. There are also those days when it feels effortless to feel embraced in that Light. Such is the challenge (and accomplishment and satisfaction) of striving to live a spiritual life in a physical experience.

Courageous Expression

While I had intended to post a card reading today, I was attempting to post a video that I had created to share here, and navigating my way through such matters has been challenging and time-consuming today! (And now, I can't even 'find' that darn video!  Haha!) Yesterday's powerful New Moon (new beginnings) inspired me to venture into sharing here through video and live posts and so today has been dedicated to educating myself about that! I am still learning! Haha! This is a huge leap for me, and I feel vulnerable sharing in this way, but I do believe it's important to connect utilizing the incredible means available to us through social media. I have intuited that 2017 is the year of 'courageous expression'! In what ways have the energies being offered by this recent New Moon (that is the gateway to the incoming eclipse season) urged you to step into courage and to authentically share what it is you are here to share?

Oops! I forgot to post that there would be no card reading today, as I spent a wonderful day with my daughter! We were shopping in loving anticipation of she and her husband's baby, and our grand baby, due in mid August. So much fun! Grateful!

Universal Law of Gratitude

"The Law of Gratitude states that the feeling of appreciation is a powerful vibration that attracts further good and generates more conditions in your life to feel grateful about. Gratitude puts you in harmony with what you want. In order to attract more of what you want into your life, you must be grateful for what you already have. Things are good and desirable because we value them; other things are considered worthless and undesirable because we do not appreciate them. Even the circumstances you judge to be bad and undesirable have value.  Challenge yourself to appreciate both the good and the bad that you encounter. This card is telling you that the power to create better conditions lies within your ability to appreciate your current conditions. The attitude of gratitude makes the current moment enjoyable--it also draws more good toward you. The Universe is reminding you that you can speed up the creative process by focusing more attention and energy on gratitude. Keep appreciating the good that already exists and watch how more good things flood into your life."

My message for you today is this:
Do you remember the author of 'The Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude' published by Sarah Ban Breathnach in 1996?  Oprah Winfrey had this author on her show to discuss the powerful force of gratitude in our lives, and of course Sarah's book then became a phenomenon! "Focus on the good you have, not the lack of it,"  was Oprah's message about how embracing an attitude of gratitude can shift your life experience.  This very important Universal Law was brought to the forefront of our consciousness through Sarah's book, and Oprah's embracing and promoting it.  I personally integrated the impact that living by this Universal Law can have on your life. It has carried me through some extremely challenging times in my life that followed closely on the footsteps of my having made the conscious decision to live my life in gratitude. Such time as the sudden and devastating death of my beloved younger brother in an automobile accident in December 1997.  What is there possibly to find gratitude about in that, you may ask?  Even within the trauma of learning of his accident, arriving to the hospital, and his imminent passing; I found myself feeling so grateful for the blessing that there had been nothing left unexpressed between us...that I had very recently told him that I loved him during a phone conversation; that our family had recently made the 45 minute drive to where he lived to watch him coach his nephew's hockey game, and I'd told him on that day how proud I was of him as a coach; that he KNEW how important he was to me and to my husband and our kids, and that there was nothing left unsaid between us...that I had nothing to regret in that regard. Even in my intense grief, I knew that being at peace with that was a blessing, and I am so grateful...
I had purchased and written in Sarah Ban Breathnach's gratitude journal back in 1996, but I was inspired to write in my own gratitude journal, and I had my children write in their's each night at bedtime, also (they were 12, 10 and 8 at the time). I wanted to cultivate in them an attitude of gratitude. We each wrote 3 things we were grateful for that day. Some entries were about events in their day, such as: "I am grateful that I scored a goal in hockey today." or "I am grateful that I got to go to the restaurant between dance classes today. or "I am grateful that I got to go riding with Grandpa today and eat Saskatoon berries right off the tree!"  Other entries were along the lines of : "I am grateful that I'm not mad at ____anymore." or "I am grateful that I'm done with that stupid social studies report and presentation!"  I still love reading those journals, and seeing gratitude through the eyes of a child! 
A very dear friend gifted me a gorgeous wall plaque that stays "Stay in gratitude..." and she said that when she saw it, she thought of me because she knows that's how I strive to live my life.  She couldn't have given me any bigger compliment!  Does that mean that I am ALWAYS in gratitude? Absolutely not!  It means that I strive not to RESIDE in 'woe is me' or victimhood moments...that I consciously strive to acknowledge when I'm feeling that way, and after allowing myself to hold a little 'pity party', I truly do attempt to see the blessings/learnings/ lessons/growth being offered in the situation.  Consciously employing the Universal Law of Gratitude doesn't mean that you are never going to experience feeling disappointment, resentment, etc. or even that you are supposed to DENY those feelings. All emotions are gifted to us as guideposts in our lives to steer us toward our greater good. Disappointment and resentment can serve as motivators for making necessary changes in our lives, but REMAINING focused in those feelings only limits you to experiencing more disappointment and resentment.  Remember: the vibration of gratitude is a powerful manifesting agent in the universe!  We are vibrational beings.  Like attracts like...and when you are in the vibration of appreciation for the good in your life, you attract more of the same.  It's that simple, and that profound...

Walking Away

"Walking Away ~ Letting Go, Moving On ~
This card shows someone walking away from an existing situation. She is closing the gate behind her and is walking away into a misty, unknown future.  This card reveals that it could be time for you to make a similar decision. There may be something that you're finished with, perhaps a career goal, a relationship, or a long-term experience of any kind.  
The familiarity of the situation may be enticing, but you're now ready to look at your options on the open road ahead. In reality, an important new beginning is at hand.
This card also indicates that now would be a good time to let go of an old habit, emotional pattern, or false belief. No matter how deeply engrained a negative pattern may be, you now have the power to release it and move on to a freer, healthier way of thinking and relating to yourself and others.

My message for you today is this:
I would add to Sandra's message today, that sometimes 'walking away' is actually a shift in perspective or attitude in regards to a situation or circumstance in your life experience. An often shared quote of Wayne Dyer's is: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."  This is a very enlightened and empowering viewpoint to take. It takes you out of the role of victimhood and into the role of co-creator of your destiny! Choose to 'walk away' from a long-held belief that has been holding you back from moving forward.  Change your perspective from "There's no way that I could ever______", to "What steps could I take that would lead me in the direction of _______." 
The other message that comes to mind for you today is this:  when you walk 'away' from something you are walking 'toward' something else.  Consciously choose where you will place your valuable time and attention.  We ARE evolving spiritually at an accelerated rate and we are being vibrationally encouraged and supported in this!  Utilize the prevailing energies and your heightened awareness to receive the Divine guidance being offered you.
Old habits and ways of being that no longer serve you may be pulled to the forefront of your awareness at this time. As uncomfortable as this may be, this is intended to SERVE you, because awareness is the first step to changing something or to 'walking away' from something that is no longer in your greater good!   New opportunities and possibilities are being presented to you, even if not in the ways that you had imagined they would!  Trust in the Divine in this regard.  That 'something' that you are being encouraged to move toward may not look the way you had anticipated, but go with your 'gut' in this.  If the overriding feeling is that you are supposed to take that step--in spite of also possibly feeling some self-doubt and anxiousness about doing so--then take it!  You may not see the fruits of your labours right away, but what you are planting WILL bear fruit!  You are MEANT to be moving forward at this time!  The theme of this year, 2017, is 'courageous expression' of WHO you came her to be, and you are being asked to step into that wholeheartedly!
