There will be no card reading Friday, March 31st/17 (where HAS the month of March gone?!?).  Spring cleaning of our barn in preparation for our upcoming markets continues this morning, as we had appointments yesterday afternoon.  Busy times...
I had to share this photo captured of young birds in their first flight.  They would never fly if they didn't take that first leap of faith and trust that they COULD fly.  What leap of faith are you being called to take so that you can be all that you came here to be?  Don't let fear hold you back.  You can't experience the ecstasy of your Soul in flight, if you don't take that courageous leap of faith.  You don't have to have the entire journey all mapped out.  No doubt there will be detours along the way. Just jump in, with the confidence that Spirit will lead the way.

Oak ~ Be strong but gentle

My message for you today is this:
I KNOW that you have been feeling the call of your potential!  These are absolutely the energies that we have been in!  Despite how things may 'seem' regarding your current life circumstances, trust in the acorns that you have sown.  We remain in the powerful manifestation energy of yesterday's New Moon, and so it is important to focus upon what you wish to bring forth. Be specific!  Understand that you have the strength and fortitude to bring it into being...not FORCE it into being, but to lovingly gestate it into being. Take the necessary steps as they present to you.  Tenacity may be required...the willingness to keep moving in the direction you need to, even though the winds may blow in ways you hadn't foreseen.  The limbs of an Oak tree are strong but supple.  This is what allows them to withstand--and even to thrive--through all sorts of conditions. 
I so appreciate Ted's message: "True strength is always gentle..." as this is a core belief of mine!   This quote by Ralph W. Sockman: "Nothing is so strong as gentleness and nothing is so gentle as real strength",  personifies the energy that the Oak tree is offering you today.

How Divinely perfect that this card revealed itself from Denise's deck for you on this day of the New Moon!  You have often read here that the New Moon holds the overriding energy of MANIFESTATION, and that the theme of each New Moon is further accented by the other prevailing cosmic energies at that specific time.  Look back to the messages I have posted that have been leading up to today...they have all held the theme of stepping more fully into living your life 'on purpose', and today is no exception!  Just as I was typing that last sentence, I heard the call of Canada geese outside my office window.  According to Ted Andrews, Goose brings this message for us:  "Heed the call to the new quest. Open to new wonders and possibilities. Pursue new adventures. Explore new travels."  I have also written often here about my core belief that there IS no coincidence...only synchronicity.  That the geese flying over and making themselves heard at the same time as I was typing that sentence for you message was no coincidence, but was meant to inspire my incorporating that message into your reading today also.  Focus your time and attention upon moving forward toward your dreams.  Pay attention to opportunities and situations that present for you that may even seen 'unrelated' to how you would see your dream moving forward. Share who YOU came to be in this world!  What seeds are you planting, especially now that we have entered the Spring equinox?  2017 is a '1' year, numerologically---a year of new beginnings.  This is the beginning of a 9 year cycle and what you plant now, will take root and grow over the next 9 years. I am busy with appointments and also with happily administrating our upcoming Cross Creek Spiritual and Artisan Markets on June 10th and July 8th!!  The response by vendors and speakers has been phenomenal!!!  We are so excited! 
I am sharing this beautiful photo of crocuses on this first day of Spring, because they signify Spring to me here on our farm on the prairies.  They were one of my Mom's favorite flowers and so they bring memories of Mom to my mind and heart, also...I'm so grateful to have had her as my Mom...
And, of course I want to share a quote with you today:

My message for you today is this:
There are definitely messages incoming for you right now psychically.  Are you taking the time to be in stillness or to place yourself in a receptive space, whatever that looks like for you?  A good friend of mine finds that he receives his messages most clearly when he is working out to rock music!  THAT is his way of quieting his mind and of being receptive to the messages that Spirit is sharing with him.  I have found that my walks in our coulee are a time when I find myself to be most receptive and open to Spirit and to the guidance of my guides and guardian angels. I have come to understand that this is because I am then in a state of 'receptivity'...I am not focusing upon anything other than walking and being in nature on the land that I love, and so things just 'come to me' while I am in that space. The times when I've received the greatest insights are when I do not have an 'agenda' in terms of seeking guidance...I merely 'allow'.  What is YOUR means of being receptive?  It is not always sitting quietly in a meditative pose that brings us to a place of receptivity, as has often been portrayed (although it could be for you).  As unique individuals, our means of 'making the connection' will also be unique to each of us.  Whatever that space looks like for you, take time today to be in that space, and then simply allow.  Attempting to force making the connection will only stymy it.  Call upon the goddess Hathor to be with you, if it feels right to do so, and then relax into receptivity.  Trust in whatever comes forward for you.  The guidance being shared may be in relation to a topic that you hadn't expected at this time. My message for you today is this:
The message for you today is primarily in regards to self-worth...you are WORTHY!  
As Lightworkers, many have carried over into this lifetime the 'vow of poverty' that was made in past lifetimes.  That is to say, that we have this long held belief that in order to be truly enlightened and spiritual, you must forego the comforts of life as well as financial abundance. Some still hold the erroneous belief that to experience a strong connection with the Divine, you must lead a 'monk-like' existence, forgoing the pleasures and comforts available here in our physical experience.  Add to that the misconceived belief that when you are sharing your gifts as 'an act of service', it is somehow 'wrong' to receive payment for this!  These shadow beliefs are archaic, and thankfully we are maturing spiritually to the understanding that the Divine doesn't wish us to 'suffer' in order to 'prove' our desire for a sacred connection, as has been preached to us in the past. 
Yet, there are remnants of those old shadow beliefs still taking up space in our psyches. 
Make the conscious choice to shift that for yourself---to the understanding that you are deserving and worthy of an abundant life on all levels!  To be truly valued, and to experience the abundance you desire (yes!!! It is okay to say that you desire abundance!!) you must first believe this to be true for yourself.  This is a habit that you need to form for yourself. That is why Toni suggests the exercise of imagining for yourself in his message for you today.  I would add to that the simple affirmation:  "I am worthy."  Allow that knowing to sink into your very being, because you ARE!

My message for you today is this:
I have spoken frequently here about choosing to ACT rather than to REACT, and also about how I see living your life CONSCIOUSLY as choosing what you will place your focus upon and the perspective that you will choose. This is what the Law of Free Will speaks to...living your life consciously.  It is about understanding that embracing and utilizing the Universal Law of FREE WILL means taking responsibility for your life!  Truly integrating this Law requires a level of spiritual maturation and of stepping out of the 'victimhood' or 'martyrdom' role and into a place of self-empowerment.  Will even those who strive to live their life from a conscious perspective ALWAYS be in a place where they see the positives and the possibilities within EVERY life circumstance?  No...of course not!  We are here in the human form to experience the duality and the shadings of experience that are offered here to assist us in our Soul growth.  Yet, those whom we look up to and admire because of the 'enlightened' way in which they experience life do not RESIDE in those times when they may feel disappointed, frustrated, or even defeated.  They CHOOSE to use such times and feelings as guideposts and to then shift their perspective and to adjust their actions and focus accordingly.  
Take, for example, the life of Nelson Mandela and the profound impact his life has had on humanity.  He is the epitome of CHOOSING your perspective, despite the extenuating circumstances of your life. I am feeling BEYOND BLESSED!!! My brother-in-law (who is also my 'birthday buddy', because we share the same birthday---December 18th---although he is a decade older than I am!) surprised me on Sunday at our family dinner here, with this beautiful sign that he created!!! It will be proudly displayed at the Speaker's Forum area of our markets!!!  He carved it in this old English font and then accentuated the lettering by painting it in black.
I LOVE IT!!!  I am SO grateful for the support we are receiving with this heart-centered project of creating and facilitating these markets!!! Thanks SO MUCH, John-boy! Your thoughtful gift is lovingly received!!!

As you relax, you will feel a point of light within your third eye area, the point between your eyebrows.  Feel its vibration and sound flow through your mind and body.  There are seven main energy centers:  Crown center---on top of your head, Third Eye---the point between your eyebrows, Throat Center, Heart Center, Solar Plexus, Sacral Center and Base Center---at the bottom of your spine.

The 'energy centers' that Toni is referring to in his message here are your 'Chakras'.  While there are many chakras within your body, those mentioned here by Toni are the 7 major ones.  Each chakra has a different color vibration, to do with the speed that they vibrate at. They are also associated with specific qualities and functions within our lives. We are energetic Beings. Therefore, it is important to care for ourselves energetically. There are many meditation CD's available that assist with clearing and balancing your chakras, but you can also do so by sitting quietly and setting the intention to clear and balance your chakras.  Crystal energy is useful in working with your chakras (notice the crystals and the chakra healing wand I have pictured with your card today). Yoga has long been employed as a means of chakra balancing. Some call upon Archangel Michael to assist with their clearing and balancing chakras, also. 
'Om' (pronounced 'OHHHHmmmmm') is a sacred sound and a spiritual icon in Hindu religion.  It is also a mantra in Hinduism and Buddhism, whose meaning is 'soul, self within' and 'entirety of the universe, Divine truth'.   When chanted repeatedly, it is said to shift your vibration and, as Toni shares in his message, you may utilize this chant to balance and clear your chakras, if you set the intention to do so. 
Spirit is drawing to your attention today that you are an energetic being, and that it is important to take care of yourself energetically.  Honour and care for the energetic centers of your body---your chakras---in the way that feels right to you.  Doing so means that you are able to approach your life from a 'balanced state of being' that serves you.  Energy is always in motion, and so it is important to balance and clear your chakras on a regular basis, as these energy centers are sensitive and are impacted by all that we experience physically, emotionally and spiritually.   Therefore, your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being is influenced by the 'health and balance' of your personal energy centers.  Know this to be true.  Be sure to honor yourself by consciously caring for your chakras, as you do the other aspects of yourself that house your Soul in this physical experience.

Blue Moon ~ Rare Opportunity

This is your card reading for Friday, March 10th/17.  Your card today skimmed out of 'The Nature-Speak Oracle' deck authored by Ted Andrews.  Your card is 'Blue Moon ~ Rare Opportunity'.  Ted has four 'suits' within this deck: Landscape Oracles, Flower Oracles, Season & Climate Oracles.  I kept the deck in tact as I shuffled it, and the card today revealed itself from the 'Season & Climate' aspect of the deck. Ted shares as explanation in his guide book for this deck, his reasoning for including the 'Season & Climate' cards:  "Spiritual insight and wisdom into our lives and our potentials are found in every aspect of the natural world---not just within the things that grow, but also in the rhythms, seasons, and other natural phenomena.  Everything in Nature is potentially symbolic, with the ability to reflect something about the hidden forces at play within our life. . .There are rhythms and phenomena in Nature that are stronger than our own and that impact us---often without our realizing."

My message for you today is this:
How interesting that this card presented for you as we lead into the Full Moon this upcoming Sunday.  No...this will not be a blue moon on March 12th...yet this card presented at this time for a reason.  The prevailing energies are such that you really need to pay attention to opportunities that 'come your way'...especially if they are unexpected opportunities.  Do not discount what may seem like a 'small' opportunity or a situation that looks different than what you had envisioned as the 'next step' in your plan of action.  We cannot always 'see', from our limited physical vantage point, the momentum that even a small action can give us in moving toward our goals and dreams.  Pay attention to the people and circumstances that present themselves as opportunities for you and don't let this pass you by!  Follow where this leads you!  Be willing to take an unexpected turn, if that's what you're being called to do...be brave!  This upcoming Full Moon will support you in releasing old patterns and beliefs that had been holding you back.  Be authentic with yourself by recognizing how you may have held yourself back and then from this level of consciousness, release it.  Doing so energetically makes the 'space' for new opportunities to come in.

My message for you today is this:
We think of 'loyalty' in terms of relationship between 2 or more people. Yet, what about loyalty to YOURSELF?  Loyalty is defined as: 'a strong feeling of support or allegiance'. 
Why do we often find that we can express and embrace loyalty to ANOTHER, while we fail to afford OURSELVES that same privilege?  Rather than having FAITH in ourselves and all that we wish to accomplish and BE; we often deluge ourselves with self-doubt and even self-criticism.  Why???  It is true that even those who are living their life 'on purpose' and in the fullest expression of who they came here to be, may experience fleeting moments of self-doubt and lack of confidence.  The difference is that they don't allow themselves to stay there!  They have an underlying loyalty to themselves and to their dreams and desires.

No card reading today, but something special to share!

There will be no card reading today, as I spent the morning helping my husband put the finishing touches on the AMAZING sign he created for our upcoming markets here on our farm. Then we temporarily hung the sign on the pergola of our deck, just so we could have a really good look at it (and so that I could take some pictures to share)! I realize that it's difficult to see all of the details, where it is right now, but it is going to look AMAZING at the entrance to our farm once market day draws nearer!! I am SO GRATEFUL to my hubby for the time and creativity he put into creating this sign!!! I LOVE IT!!!
THEN...just look at the picture I took just now of the quote for today's date that is in my beloved book of quotes that was gifted to me by a dear friend!! It just so happens that we are going to have a gourmet cupcake truck--Sweet Leaf Cake Co.-- (they will also be offering some wraps, panini's, and beverages) here at our markets!!! (And trust me...when you taste Leanne's gourmet cupcakes, you will understand that eating one IS a spiritual experience!!)
It is my firm personal belief that there is no such thing as coincidence--only synchronicity--and that that is one of the ways that Spirit communicates with us and guides us.
I had spent this morning administrating vendor and speaker forms for our market; then helping my husband with the sign for the market; and had also spent time outdoors 'scoping out' where I envisioned various booths and the food truck would best be located. THEN the quote for today is this cupcake quote!!!
To me, the synchronicity of the quote today, is Spirit's way of validating that we are on track with taking the action steps that we are to facilitate our vision of Cross Creek Spiritual and Artisan Market!

As I was typing up Toni's message for your card today, this quote by Barbara Bloom came to mind: "When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold.  They believe that when something's suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful."  I have often run across this quote and I find it so profound!  It speaks to the fact that we are not MEANT to be perfect!   That our flaws and 'mistakes' and sometimes our 'brokenness'---when acknowledged and attended to---can be viewed as a positive influence upon the landscape of who we are and what we came here to express. 
The definition of compassion is "sympathetic feeling".  Choose to have compassion for YOURSELF!  You will find that as you strive to hold compassion for yourself, it will become easier to hold compassion for others.  Quan Yin has presented for you today to assist you with this...call upon her energies to support you.

My message for you today is this:
It is easier to 'shine our Light' when it feels as though our life is moving along in a positive way and we are feeling confident and secure.  Yet the message for you today is to remind you that there is a Divine spark of Light within you ALWAYS and at ALL TIMES, regardless of the life circumstances in which you find yourself from time to time.
