My message for you today is this:
Ok...true confessions...
I have shared with you here that we are currently very busy with preparations for our daughter and son-in-law's marriage celebration that we are hosting here on our farm in July. It has been an intense year of preparation and that intensity continues. We have held a vision for how we want things to be for the event, and have been working hard toward that.
There have been some very real challenges along the way, for sure.
I personally felt frustrated that, what with all that is happening here right now, I was unable to embrace and acknowledge and CONSCIOUSLY UTILIZE the incredible, once-in-a-lifetime cosmic energies being offered us by the Full Moon/Summer Solstice occurring simultaneously, last Monday. I will even admit to feeling somewhat resentful of that, despite my 'higher knowing' that 'everything happens for a reason'. I couldn't even dredge up the time to post here on that eventful day, except to share a brief message... There was, what I knew would be an incredible drumming circle being held on that evening at Silver Valley Ranch to honour the Full Moon/Summer Solstice, that I was 'too busy' to attend! Yes...I was feeling resentful, and even disappointed in myself for not finding a way to honour these energies despite the current busyness in our household. (My husband even asked me if I was putting any of my crystals out to bath in the Full Moonlight, knowing that I love to do this; to which he received a snarky reply along the lines of: "As if I have time right now for THAT!" I am not proud of my snarkiness, but I did lead into this message saying that this is true confessions...so I might as well share that less than shining moment...
Yet, here is what I have learned as the week has progressed; and what I want to share with you in case you have also been hard on yourself when you feel that you have not honoured the spiritual aspect of yourself as you would like to. We are here in the physical...we are Souls having a physical experience here on Earth. The reality of that is that this includes responsibilities and demands upon our time and energy. Many spiritual advisors who are far more knowledgable about the prevailing cosmic energies than I (I FEEL these energies, but do not claim to understand how or why they occur) have stated that this recent Full Moon/Summer Solstice was a turning point energetically; and that while many had been facing some challenges and struggles in the weeks leading into this Full Moon, the energies were bringing in a shift in which we would find resolution and release from some of those struggles. I absolutely experienced this! Some very real concerns have been resolved during this week and honestly life just feels 'lighter'. My 'simple' ritual of gazing upon the Full Moon before going to bed, and then leaving the bedroom blind up so that the light of this Full Moon could shine upon us while we were sleeping, may not have been how I envisioned honouring this event---but it was honouring, just the same. While engaging in deep sacred ritual is a beautiful means of honouring our spiritual selves; we need to stand less in self-judgment at those times when life's demands upon us may mean a less elaborate ritual.
There are lessons within every life experience. The lesson in this is that it is possible to be conscious and 'present', even while engaged in the sometimes hectic pace of our life circumstances. That to hold unreal expectations of ourselves serves no one and certainly does not serve our Soul. The beautiful, rare cosmic event of this recent Full Moon/Summer Solstice has amplified your intuitive abilities, as you have been literally showered in Light on the longest day of the year. Acknowledge and give thanks for that, and if that is the most that you can do at this time; know that that is enough. Spirit and the Universe respond to gratitude...gratitude holds powerful manifestation energy, so if expressing gratitude is the only ritual that you have 'time' for right now, strive to reside in that!
