Nemetona ~ Sacred Space

This is your daily card reading for Friday, September 12th/14.  Your card today was drawn from the 'Goddess Guidance' deck, authored by Doreen Virtue.  Your card is the 'Nemetona ~ Sacred Space' card. Your card is pictured here with one of the beautiful quilted Angel creations made by my dear friend, Kathy Lloyd.  I have 4 of these angel wall hangings which are proudly hanging in my sacred space.  Kathy is a talented artist and seamstress, who's means of making a Divine contribution to the world is through the 'fabrication' of these and other ethereal Angels, which she will customize for her clients in terms of color and words. Message from Nemetona:
Your sacred space is within you now. By creating an altar or visiting a sacred site, you connect with the symbols and energy that have been infused with meaning and prayer over the centuries.  Don't take these symbols lightly, for they're powerful indeed.  When you connect with sacred symbols, you help your inner sanctity find a home in the outer world. You also tap in to the ancient wisdom and spiritual grace of the old ways...
Various meanings of this card:  *Build an altar in your home.* Take a spiritually oriented trip.*You need a quiet place of refuge and retreat for yourself.*Create a medicine circle or labyrinth.*Clear the energy in your home with sage, prayer, toning, invoking Archangel Michael, or other space-clearing methods.*

My message for you today is this:
Nemetona (pronounced Nem-uh-TONE-uh) is a Celtic Goddess whose name means 'sacred grove'.  She was the great protector of ancient Celtic ceremonial sites, often located in large groves of trees.  She is firmly connected to Nature and she continues to preside over sacred sites around the World.  Nemetona will assist you in creating your own sacred space and also with the creation of medicine wheels or labyrinths and the ceremonies aligned with them.
I completely resonate with Nemetona's message that 'Your sacred space is within you now.' The Divine spark resides within each and every one of us, and it is up to us to consciously access that connection.  Therefore, it is not NECESSARY to create your own personal space of honouring, nor is it NECESSARY to visit designated sacred sites in order to make the Divine connection---but to do so can facilitate a deep level of energetic alliance with the Divine within and around us.  We are here in this physical experience and we are energetic Beings, so we react to the energy around us.  The sacred sites around the World are not at the locations that they are by accident---these are hallowed places where the energy is palpable.  Many ancient churches and places of worship are located on powerful energetic lay-lines and vortexes.  You need not be a 'religious' person to feel the incredible energy at such sites.
There is also a reason that humanity is awed by and drawn to spend time in Nature; and why park areas are always created---even in large cities---as a place of refuge and peace. Nature has her own sacred energy to offer us.
Nemetona has presented for you today to remind you that sacred space ASSISTS us in accessing the Divinity that is already within us.  I have found that, as I grow and evolve spiritually, my own personal Sacred Space morphs and changes also.  Perhaps you have already created a Sacred Space for yourself, and you are being drawn to make some changes in that space at this time.  Remember too, that it is not the size of your space that matters, but rather the INTENTION with which you create it---it need not be an entire room, if that is not available to you---it can a small area within a room. You may choose to create your sacred space somewhere in Nature. What matters is that you create your space with LOVE and HONOURING.  Perhaps you have felt drawn recently (as I have) to create a medicine wheel or a labyrinth.  Nemetona will assist and support you in accessing the Divine within yourself, and with creating a physical space that honours that connection.
