Crow ~ Unexpected Magic and Energy

Your card today 'flew' out of the 'Animal-Wise Tarot' deck, authored by Ted Andrews.  Your card is the 'Crow ~ Unexpected Magic and Energy' card, and Crow gave me beautiful validation by 'cawing' in the distance as I staged and took the picture of the Crow card outside this morning!  Ted's message for the card is this:
"With a striking black color, Crows are closely related to the Raven and are part of the corvine family of birds.  Black is the color of the night and the womb of creation, a maternal color.  It is out of the black darkness that the new is born. The black night gives birth to a new day.  Although a daytime bird, the Crow reminds us that unexpected magic and energy are very much alive and calling out to us.
Crows build their nests high in the treetops and one Crow is always watching out for the flock, to warn and alert while the others feed.  When Crow appears, remember the watcher. It heralds a time to be more watchful for new opportunities and new magic and new opportunities to arrive.
Crows have a complex language with a remarkable voice range, cawing in a variety of ways, each series with its own meaning.  The cawing of the Crow reminds us that magic and creation are cawing to us every day, helping us to develop our voice and language to get what we want and need.
Crows do what is called 'mobbing', a gathering together to drive off predators, such as hawks and especially owls.  The appearance of Crow reminds us of the magic available, but it also suggests that group, rather than solitary, activities are more likely to be successful at this time.  Crows have great intelligence and are highly adaptable to a variety of environments, with a unique ability to communicate with other Crows and work with them for a common goal.
Wherever Crows are, there is magic.  As symbols of creation and magical strength, they remind us that opportunities to create abound every day, bringing us the news of new creative possibilities, reassuring us that magic is alive!"

My message for you today is this:
Crow holds powerful energy for me personally, and so I was thrilled when he appeared for you today!  Crow was my deceased younger brother's Power Animal, and so I think of Crow as the 'protector'---he ALWAYS makes himself known by flying by whenever and wherever my husband and I are riding our motorcycle, for instance, as a sign of Divine protection.  We give thanks for this sign from the Divine.  Crow has consistently presented for me at times when I may feel nervous, or fearful, or just need reassurance that 'all is well'---by either 'flying by' in a conspicuous way that cannot be ignored, or voicing his presence with his unique caw.
Animals, birds, reptiles, and even insects are used by the Divine as messengers for us...but we must pay attention and give gratitude once the message has been delivered.  Just as we have common traits as human beings, yet individual attributes, so it is with the animal world.
Whenever a particular creature of the world of Nature draws your attention, PAY ATTENTION.  There is a good chance that the Spirit world is attempting to communicate with you.  Ted Andrew's books, 'Animal Speak' and 'Animal-Wise', are EXCELLENT resources for the attributes and messages represented by various animals and aspects of Nature.  Ted also had published 'Animal Speak Pocket Guide', which is great for a quick reference as the messages that birds; insects and arachnids; mammals; reptiles and amphibians; and sea life; may hold for us.
Crow has presented for you today as a reminder that that which you wish to create is not only possible, but supported!  Look to the support that surrounds you, and acknowledge that it is there for you.  Show gratitude for wherever you are in the process at this time, knowing that there is 'magic' about and that you are being assisted energetically.  Call upon the energy of Crow and pay attention to what you are involved in or experiencing when he presents for you in the future, also.
Blessed be...
