Compassion

This is your card reading for Thursday, March 2nd/17.  Your card to day slipped out of the 'Universal Wisdom' deck authored by Toni Carmine Salerno.  Your card is 'Compassion' and Toni's message for the card is this:
"~You are a jewel.  Even though you may not see it, all that you consider to be imperfect allows greater light to shine through. Even in darkness you are eternally bright.~
Quan Yin, know in Buddhism as the goddess of compassion and mercy, has shown up in your reading today to ask you to be more compassionate toward yourself.  She asks you to reflect on the many times you have critical thoughts about yourself.  Make an effort to replace these negative thoughts with positive and loving ones.
Your spirit lives always in perfection, even though from the physical plane you may perceive that you are less than perfect.  Perfection exists in all things, even though we may not always see it.  All is perfect and all is sacred.
Remember that the physical world is simply spirit clothed in matter. From a spiritual perspective, life is a game whose sole objective is for us to remember who we truly are. You are an eternal being of love and light and even though your mind may see imperfection in many things, in actuality everything is perfect just the way it is. Everything serves a purpose otherwise it would cease to exist. Do not strive to perfect your flaws. Accept them.  Love yourself as you are.  View things compassionately and you will see the underlying beauty that exists in all things."

My message for you today is this:
The message continues for you today that what you place your attention upon expands in your experience.  Toni's message for your card today asks that you choose to move your attention away from an negative self-talk and self-criticism; because residing in those types of thoughts is counter-productive and can even be destructive.
As I was typing up Toni's message for your card today, this quote by Barbara Bloom came to mind: "When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold.  They believe that when something's suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful."  I have often run across this quote and I find it so profound!  It speaks to the fact that we are not MEANT to be perfect!   That our flaws and 'mistakes' and sometimes our 'brokenness'---when acknowledged and attended to---can be viewed as a positive influence upon the landscape of who we are and what we came here to express.
The definition of compassion is "sympathetic feeling".  Choose to have compassion for YOURSELF!  You will find that as you strive to hold compassion for yourself, it will become easier to hold compassion for others.  Quan Yin has presented for you today to assist you with this...call upon her energies to support you.
Blessed be...
