Launching Your Journey

This is your card reading for Friday, August 28th/15---the day prior to the Super Full Moon. Recall that I have stated often here that we are influenced by the Full and New Moon energy for a day on either side of the actual event---this energy waxes and wanes and doesn't just abruptly begin or end.  Your card skimmed out of the 'Gateway' oracle card deck, authored by Denise Linn.  Your card is 'Launching Your Journey', and Denise's message for the card is this:
"I am an intrepid traveler, sailing forth into the Universe...
CARD MEANING: Inner and outer travel are ahead.  Get ready, for you are about to embark on a journey.  This could be an inner sojourn, a voyage to distant lands, or even a project or idea that is coming to life.
THE UNIVERSE WANTS YOU TO KNOW:  Where have you always wanted to go?  What have you always wanted to do or be? This is the time to make it happen.  Launch yourself forward and explore the world around you.  However, before any journey, inner or outer, take time to prepare for the adventure ahead.  Know where you are and where you want to go. How will you get there?  What steps are necessary in order to take this leap?  Have a clear vision, but also be prepared for the unexpected.  Allow the journey to bring as much joy as the destination!
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF:  How can I prepare for the journey ahead?  What is the greatest journey I could embark upon in my life?  What destination will be the most fulfilling?"

My message for you today is this:
This is the perfect card to present for you today...the Super Full Moon and also entering into the 3 week shadow period of the upcoming Mercury Retrograde WILL be asking us to take a journey:  an internal journey which will initiate an outer journey.  As in any journey, you will first have to determine your desired destination.  What is it that you are seeking?  Sounds like a simple question, but I encourage you to dig deep and to not respond with a generic and general response, such as 'inner peace'.  What does inner peace look like to you?  It may show up in a whole different way for you than for another, because we are unique in our experiences and expression. Get specific about where you desire to head out on your journey.  The prevailing cosmic energies are very dynamic and so this is the ultimate time to plot your course.  Ensure that you are mapping out what is authentic and Soulful to YOU...these are the journeys that are coming to the forefront at this pivotal time.  The sacred in our lives is surfacing---this does not imply that you will not encounter road blocks, challenges and detours.  See such occurrences as an integral and revealing aspect of your journey and embrace the learning you attain from those experiences.  Understand that these perceived challenges and detours enhance, rather than deter from, the underlying purpose of your journey. 
All spiritual advisors and teachers that I follow at this point on my spiritual path (including Elizabeth Peru and Panache Desai) speak vehemently to the amazing energies that September will be offering us---the portal of self-discovery, self-realization, self-determination, and self-empowerment being offered us is PROFOUND!  Yet, in order to effectively employ and utilize this opportunity, it is KEY that we take 'conscious action':  That we strive to be consciously aware; that we do the foundational work and research, which includes 'getting real' with ourselves about 'where' we truly desire to go; that we plot out a course, all the while understanding that the route will likely deviate at times along the way; and that we honour ourselves through every twist and turn.  The close to this chaotic energetic month of August is leading us to now speak our truth to ourselves as well as others.
This Super Full Moon will lovingly assist us in releasing any old 'baggage' that would hold us back or weigh us down as we head into the upcoming adventures that await us.  Choose to 'consciously' pack your bags for this next phase of your life, and to lovingly discard what you may have carried with you in the past that no longer serves you.  Acknowledge who you are NOW.  When you embark on a journey that is in authentic alignment with who YOU are, you realize that even the detours hold great meaning and are there to serve you...and you step out of 'victimhood' into 'empowerment'.  THAT is the message of the day!
